Why do I have to register?
You must register at Bidpigs.com in order to participate in our auction based shopping experience.
BidPigs.com requires registration to verify that you are at least 18 years of age and a legal U.S. or Canadian resident.
All auctions require the use of "bids" to allow you the chance to buy items at the listed prices. You can't buy, or get, bids unless you register.
How do I register?
You must be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada to register.
Registration is quick and easy. Best of all, it's completely free, and you will be given 3 free bids, just for completing your registration.
Just click on the "Register for Free" link at the top of the home page, or click on any of the "Bid" buttons to be redirected to a registration page.
Please be sure to accurately fill out all parts of the registration form.
Following submission of the registration form, you will be sent an activation email. You must activate your account by going to that email and clicking on the activation link inside.
NOTE: You will not be given 3 free bids for multiple accounts from the same household address.
What if I do not get my activation email?
If you check your email and cannot find the activation email from BidPigs.com, you should first check your "spam" or "junk" mail folders.
In the event you still cannot locate the activation email, please contact us at support@bidpigs.com from the email address you listed during your registration.
Remember to add support@bidpigs.com to your contacts, or trusted senders, in order to get all of your won auction notices!
Why should I use my PayPal email address to register?
BidPigs.com recommends that you use your current PayPal email address to register, so that your account may be properly credited, in the event that you decide to make a purchase with us.
You are not required to use your PayPal email, nor do you need a PayPal account prior to registration.
If you chose to register with a different email address, or you sign up for PayPal later with a different email, you will then need to update your email address with us before any purchases to ensure proper crediting to your account.
You can easily change your email address on file with us by sending an email to records@bidpigs.com.
PLEASE NOTE: At this time, payments to BidPigs.com are only accepted through PayPal links on our site.
Frequently asked questions
Q: HOW MUCH DO BIDS COST?
A: Bids at Bidpigs.com range from $0.67 to $0.55 per bid. The more bids you buy, the less the cost per bid!
Q: HOW DO I REGISTER?
A: Please see the "Registration" Help topic.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING CHARGES?
A: Shipping charges vary by item. All shipping charges can be found under the details section of each auction.
Q: DO YOU USE "SHILL" BIDDING OR AUTOMATED BIDDERS?
A: Absolutely not! BidPigs.com will not bid against our customers under any circumstances.
Q: DO YOU OFFER A "BUY IT NOW" OPTION?
A: Yes, we will offer the "Buy it Now" option on some of our items. Please see the "Buy it Now" Help section for details.
Q: WHY DOES IT SHOW MY SAVINGS AT $0.50 A BID WHEN I PAID MORE FOR EACH BID?
A: This is a simple calculation of savings based on the lowest bid price we have. Your savings may vary.
Q: DO YOU HAVE WIN LIMITS?
A: Yes, please see the "Win Limits" Help section.
Q: DO MY BIDS EXPIRE?
A: Bids that you buy, or win at auction, will only expire if your account is inactive for more than 90 days. BONUS Bids will expire after 30 days. Bonus bids will be counted using a first in, first out method. See Terms and Conditions for additional information.

A: Retail items may only be returned if they are sent back in the original packaging within 15 days. Remember that product malfunction issues should be addressed with the manufacturer! Bonus bids will not be refunded.
Q: HOW DO I PURCHASE BIDS?
A: Please visit the "Buying Bids" Help topic.
Q: DURING AN AUCTION, MY AVAILABLE BIDS SHOWED ZERO. NOW IT SHOWS THAT I HAVE BIDS. WHAT HAPPENED?
A: The "Available Bids" at the top of the page reflects your currently available bids. This number may be influenced by BidHog booking and other factors. For example, if you place a BidHog for 50 bids to run from $1 to $2 the 50 bids are deducted from your "Available Bids" on booking. If the auction quickly passes this range due to high bidder traffic, you will be credited the unused bids from your BidHog when he expires.
Q: WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT FOR YOUR BIDS AND PRODUCTS?
A: All transactions on BidPigs.com are done securely using PayPal. We do not currently offer any other payment methods.
Q: I HAVE READ ALL HELP TOPICS AND I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS, NOW WHAT?
A: Contact us - support@bidpigs.com with any additional questions!
How do I Buy Bids?
Bids can be purchased in a variety of packages on BidPigs.com. These packages can be found by visiting your profile page and clicking on "Buy Bids".
You can then pay for your bids securely, using PayPal, by clicking on the payment links.
How do I place bids on items I want?
In order to place bids, you must first get some bids.
You get 3 free bids just for registering on BidPigs.com! You can also get free bids in auctions or you can buy bid packages for yourself by using PayPal.
Once you have some bids, you can either place bids manually by logging in and clicking on any of the "Bid" buttons, or you can book a "BidHog" to place bids for you.
Please remember that any bids placed when the timers are below 3 seconds are placed AT YOUR OWN RISK! Based on factors such as internet connection, browser speeds, etc, BidPigs does not recommend that you wait until the last second to bid.
How do I know how many bids I can use?
You can always see how many bids you have available in your account at BidPigs.com, by logging in and looking in the upper right corner near your welcome message. Next to "Available Bids," you will see the current number of available bids in your account. This number will update as you use bids on auctions.
Remember that you should always make sure that you have enough bids available before entering an auction. It may take a few moments to re-fill your bids and that time may cost you an item, if you wait until the last minute to top up!
How do I find a record of my bids?
You can see the results of all of your placed bids by doing the following:
1. Log in
2. Visit the Profile, or "My BidPigs" page
3. Click on "Bid Account" - this section will list, by auction, all auctions that you participated in. You will see an auction image, description, start date, and number of bids placed in each auction on this page. You will also notice a small + on the far right of each row. Clicking this will open a window with specific bid details for each auction. Here you can see the date and time that each bid was placed, including a statement reporting single bids vs BidHog bids.

Does BidPigs.com have win limits?
BidPigs.com wants everyone that comes to our site to have as much fun as possible. In keeping with that goal, we have set win limits to prevent the "power bidders" from carrying away all the goods. These limits may change from time to time. You can see the current win limits in this section.
Win limits can be designated by category, daily, weekly and monthly wins.
The current win limits at BidPigs.com generally are:
ALL CATEGORIES:
2 auction wins per DAY
5 auction wins per WEEK
10 auction wins per MONTH
Some categories may have different win limits. Please log in to your profile and see the win limits tab for a complete listing of current win limits.
REMEMBER that each category has it's own win limit. You may win the applicable number of auctions for each category. BidPigs does not have system wide win limits at this time.
How will I know when I have reached my win limits?
You can always monitor your current wins, and your win limits, under the "Profile" section, by clicking on the "Win Limits" link. This page will display the current win limits against your current wins for each category. It will also tell you if you can win today!
What different types of auctions do you offer?
Here at BidPigs.com we currently offer nine different auction types.
1. Pigpenny Auctions - these are the standard "penny" auctions. The item is listed for sale, starting at $0.00. Each time that a person submits a bid, the price of the item increases by $0.01. The timer counts down during the auction and the person that is the high bidder when it expires will be awarded the chance to purchase the item for the current listed bid price. Remember that 15 seconds of time will also be added to the clock for each bid placed when the auction timer goes below 2 minutes. Here at BidPigs.com the timer will never reset above 2 minutes after it has counted down below 2 minutes.
2. Hog Free Auctions - these auctions are the same as the "Cent" auctions, except that they DO NOT allow the use of a BidHog. These auctions are often found to be more exciting because every one needs to pay close attention to the timers and keep a finger on the button!
3. Piglet Auctions - these auctions are restricted to members of BidPigs.com that have not yet experienced the thrill of victory! Note that only one registered member account from each household may take part in these auctions.
4. 100% Off Auctions - these auctions will award the item won to the highest bidder with absolutely no item fee! That's right, if you win this auction all you need to pay is shipping, if applicable! Just remember, bids will still be deducted from your account as you bid on this auction.
5. Fixed Price Auctions - these auctions will list an item for a set price. The first person to click "Bid" wins! You pay the listed price, plus shipping, and that's it!
6. Open Auctions - these auctions allow entry from everyone, even if you have exceeded our current win limits.
7. Lunch Break Auctions - the timers for these auctions will only run for 1/2 hour before pausing to continue the next day. This is done to allow persons that have a set time that they can access a computer to participate in a live auction without having to leave and miss the auction's end.
8. PiggyPalooza Auctions - these auctions allow everyone to play without any fear of losing! All bids in this type of auction are free. Thats right, no bids will be deducted from your account when you bid on these auctions. You may also bid on these auctions if you have no bids! This auction type will increase the purchase price by $0.25 per bid. The winner need only pay the final price, plus shipping, if applicable. Swap option is NOT available for these auctions!
9. Reserve Auctions - these auctions are unique in that they will not start running until a set bid price is hit. Each of these auctions shows a price range. This is the area between which the reserve is set. The auction may start at any price between this range. These reserves are set randomly by BidPigs. Just because the product is the same, does not mean that the reserve for that auction will be!
Once the reserve price is hit, the auction will be activated, and will only run for 5 minutes. Once activated the auctions will run according to the standard auction rules. These auctions are exciting because you may place one bid, hit the reserve and win before anyone else even knows the item is active!
This reserve price is set by BidPigs to help assure that we can continue to offer the best products to all of our users while providing the chance for everyone to get a great deal. Remember that all bids placed will be lost if someone else hits the reserve and the auction ends, so bid aggressive!
What are the icons on the auctions?
Each auction has small icons that represent what type of auction it is. On the smaller auction tiles, these icons are on the left side of the tile. On the large, main auction tile, the icons will be found on the right side. The following is a listing of the icons that you will see:

=Regular "Penny" Auction.
=Reserve Auction. Will not activate until the reserve is hit. It will then run on 10 minute timer.

= No BidHogs Allowed.

= This auction only runs for 1/2 hr a day, before pausing, to continue the following day.

= Only allows bidding by users that have not already won an auction.

= You do not pay final auction price. Only applicable shipping and taxes.

= Auction price is listed, first bidder wins!

= Open to all users, regardless of win limits.
= All bids are free!! You only need to pay the final price plus shipping, if applicable.
What is the Buy it Now option?
The "Buy it Now" option gives users a chance to purchase the listed product(s) for the manufacturer's suggested price. This price is shown on each auction as the "worth up to" or "item value" price.
Users that are bidding on an auction can decide to quit bidding and just "Buy it Now". In the event a user does this during the auction, any bids that were placed on the item will be credited towards the purchase at a value of $0.40 per bid. Note that bonus bids will not count towards this credit.
It is also very important to remember that this option is only available during the auction. As soon as the auction ends, all bids will expire and the "Buy it Now" option will be removed!
Also remember, if you are the current high bidder when you use the "Buy it Now" option, you may still win that auction as well! Only 1 win will be awarded! Do not continue bidding if Buy it Now is used.
Is Buy it Now available on all items?
NO. The "Buy it Now" option is only available on some products here at BidPigs.com
To find out if your item is eligible for the "Buy it Now" option, you will need to click on the item to enter the item's main auction screen. Scroll down and you will see a "Buy it Now" button displayed. The "Buy it Now" button will only be visible while you are "logged in."
Remember: "Buy it Now" is only available while the auction is running!
I clicked Buy it Now, what happens next?
The item will now be moved to your profile, under the "Won Auctions" link. Just go to that area and proceed with checkout. The item will be on its way as soon as you pay!
What is a BidHog?
Quite simply, a BidHog is an automated bidding tool.
Some people do not have time to watch the auctions as they progress. These people have the option of booking a BidHog and letting it do the bidding for them. The BidHog can be set to place the number of bids you request when the auction price is between a certain level. The BidHog will then place bids each time someone else bids to keep you on top until the auction ends or your bids are exhausted.
Notes:
Once a BidHog is set, he can only be cancelled BEFORE he places his first bid!
DO NOT place two BidHogs in the same price range or they will cause you to bid twice each time another bidder places a bid!
How do I set a BidHog?
When you decide you want to place a BidHog on any auction, you MUST do the following:
1. Submit at least one (1) manual bid on the auction.
2. Select the auction on which you wish to place the BidHog by clicking on the item picture, to go to the item's main auction screen.
3. Once on the main auction screen, you will see a "Book BidHog" option on the right side of the screen. You will need to input a bid from $ amount, a bid to $ amount and a total number of bids that you are willing to use on the auction. Click "Book" and let your BidHog go wild!
*NOTE: the bid from $ amount must be higher than the current auction value.
* The BidHog will not place bids unless bid from $ amount is reached. For example, a BidHog that was set at $0.12 to $0.25, would not engage if the auction price was at $0.11 when the timer ends. It is sometimes necessary to manually bid after setting the BidHog, to absolutely ensure the auction will reach your specified dollar range.
* It is also important to note that if the BidHog is set to fire from $1.11 to $1.50 it will fire AT $1.50 which will result in a bidstamp at $1.51 as the Hog tries to win for you one last time.
* Do not set two BidHogs in the same $ range. This will result in each BidHog placing a bid for you each time you are outbid!
* BidHogs may only be cancelled BEFORE they place their first bids for you!
*When the BidHog is booked, the number of bids used is automatically deducted from your account. In the event that the price range is passed before the BidHog uses all bids, they will be credited to your account as the BidHog expires.
What is the BidHog Overview?
The BidHog Overview will show you a listing of the BidHogs you have placed on the auctions. In this area, you can see at what price range your BidHog is set to enter, as well as the number of bids your BidHog will use. You can also delete BidHogs in this section.
NOTICE - YOU CAN NOT DELETE OR CANCEL A BIDHOG ONCE IT HAS STARTED BIDDING!
You can also find your current, and past, BidHog information under your profile in the My BidHog section.
Why cant I cancel my BidHog?
You can only cancel your BidHog up until the point that he actually places a bid for you! After the BidHog becomes active, there is no way to stop him! He will run like a wild boar to keep you at the head of the pack, until you win, or he's exhausted. Make sure that you only set the BidHog to fire off the number off bids that you are willing to risk on an auction.
Also remember doubled up BidHogs will each fire! DO NOT place two BidHogs within the same price range or you will end up bidding against yourself!
Where can I see how many bids an active BidHog has placed?
You can see the results of all of your placed bids by doing the following:
1. Log in
2. Visit the Profile, or "My BidPigs" page
3. Click on "Bid Account" - this section will list, by auction, all auctions that you participated in. You will see an auction image, description, start date, and number of bids placed in each auction on this page. You will also notice a small + on the far right of each row. Clicking this will open a window with specific bid details for each auction. Here you can see the date and time that each bid was placed, including a statement reporting single bids vs BidHog bids.
What are Reward Points?
Reward points are a special little thank you to all of our customers. We at BidPigs.com feel that every single person that buys a bid should get something in return!
While the cost of the bids is what allows us to offer the spectacular savings that we do, we just feel that it wouldn't be right for someone to leave our site without at least gettin' a little slop!
Reward points are automatically awarded when you purchase a bid package. The reward points can then be used to shop in the BidPigs store.
We will also offer special reward point promotions and giveaways, so make sure that you stay "up to date," by visiting the news page.
How do I know how many Reward Points I have?
You can see how many Reward Points that you have accumulated in two ways.
At the top of every page, next to your current bids, you will see your current Reward Point totals. Keep in mind, you must refresh your browser from time to time to make sure this total is valid.
You can also view your current point totals and transactions by logging in and visiting the profile pages under reward points.
Do my Reward Points expire?
Your Reward Points may expire one year from issuance to your account. There is no cash value for these points, except as redeemed in the BidPigs Store so use them up today!
What is the store?
The BidPigs store is for those that would like to purchase items from BidPigs.com without being involved in the auction activities. We offer all of our BidPigs merchandise in the store and we will also have retail products available in the store. You can buy items in the store by using your reward points, or with cash.
The items are listed in a "Buy it Now" format that will show as a won auction when you purchase the items. This is done only to maintain records on our end and does not mean that you must participate in an auction to buy items from the store.
How do I buy from the store?
You can visit the BidPigs store, and buy items, by clicking the store link on the home page. Once you arrive in the store you will see the available items displayed. Each Item will show the item picture, cost in points and the cost for cash.
Just click on any item of interest to display additional details for the item. This will take you to a page for that item that will show additional pictures, if available, as well as the "Buy Now" buttons to purchase the item for cash or reward points. This page will also show the shipping cost for the item, if applicable.
When you are sure you want the item for the prices listed, just decide if you are buying with cash, or points, and click a "Buy Now" button.
NOTE: IF YOU CLICK "BUY NOW" for points THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE! The points will be instantly deducted from your account! Clicking "BUY NOW" for cash will result in the item being sent to your "Won Auctions" page in your profile. You will then be required to accept or deny that item.
